You all need something to look forward to, right? Exams, shitty weather, too much work – whatever it may be, we guess most of you are ready for warmer days already!
There still seem to be people who have not heard about the party summer holiday paradise of Ios, in the beautiful Greek Islands.

1. THE INSANE PARTIES
We mean, that’s the obvious part for everyone who has been to Ios. But for those who haven’t, we think you don’t quite understand. Let’s start with FarOut Beach Club – there is no place like it. Every day, people make their way to this crazy venue around 4 – 5 pm when they have had enough sun for the day. World famous DJ’s are pumping tunes, with more than 2000 people going nuts right infront of the beautiful beach of Mylopothas. It is like a never ending festival, throughout the summer. FarOut is currently doing huge renovations this winter! We can not wait to see the new face of this super club next summer. And as for the nightlife – there are several hotspots that like to call themselves the #1 party place amongst summer destinations. And there are sure many wild spots. But Ios is simply different. Each and every bar or club has its own soul, with different music, atmosphere. You can feel the love. A night out in Ios is literally unbeatable. From midnight to 7 am, it is madness. Among some of the friendliest people you can encounter!
2. THE INTERNATIONAL CROWD
In Europe, most holiday destinations have a dominant crowd. It can be either from the UK, or from the German speaking countries, Russian’s, or Swedes and Norwegian’s. People are basically on vacation and meet other people from the same country, just in another country. Well, in Ios you meet people from any country in the world. The crowd is super international and that makes it extra interesting. You might talk to people from countries you have never talked to before, or make friends from countries you are going to travel to in the future.
3. IOS IS NOT DODGY/TRASHY
Salesmen all over the street, at the beach. Anywhere you go, someone is trying to sell you something or hustle you. NOT in Ios. You can wander around the streets and beaches without any of that. You are free to choose and go wherever you want, and no one is going to try and sell you tickets or jewellery on the street. The exception would be the lady trying to sell neon necklaces and bracelets between bars at night, but that’s just funny!
4. THE BEACHES
The main beach is Mylopothas beach, where FarOut Beach Club is located. A beautiful, lively beach with a lot of space to chill, but also activities on offer such as watersports, beach volleyball etc. This is your main tourist beach with shops and restaurants. BUT, there are over 30 other beaches on the island. And most of them, are super quiet. You can rent a quad bike and go explore. 5. THE FOOD
Again, Ios is not your average package holiday destination with one massive hotel next to the other, or restaurants all selling the same food. Ios still looks like this small, charming Greek Island. The restaurant owners put a lot of heart into their businesses. So many amazing signature recipes, cosy interiors and friendly staff. Even though the island is not that big, you could spend ages going to a new restaurant every night. Of course, we will recommend you our favourites!
6. THE PRICES
So, we are not saying everything in Ios is super cheap. But if you compare it to its neighbour islands, the value for money is great. Mykonos and Santorini are at least 50% higher in price, if not more. Ios is still very affordable!
